Newland Christmas Tree Festival 2026

VENDORS of FOOD, ARTS & CRAFTS, & INFORMATION - APPLICATION & AGREEMENT


Festival Dates & Times:

Friday, November 20, 2026                           Set-Up day is Friday the 20th 1pm - 4:30pm                   Saturday, November 21, 2026     
5pm - 8:00pm                                                                                                                           12:00 noon - 8:00pm           

 

Thank you for your interest in being an Arts & Crafts or Food vendor at the 2026 Newland Christmas Tree festival. Our festival takes place at the county square opposite the Avery County courthouse in downtown Newland, NC.  This is a family-oriented festival and no vendor shall sell or trade in alcoholic or tobacco products.

The Arts & Crafts area of the festival includes vendors and artists that make and produce their own original work. With one exception, vendor's products made from kits, commercial molds, or copyrighted designs not owned by the artist will not be accepted. Selling Trademarked products may be approved by the festival staff. Any commercial embellishments must be made in such a way as to support the handcrafted work.  The one exception is an "informational vendor" who sells no physical products but is promoting a cause and/or business such as churches, museums, emergency vehicles and their staff, etc.

 

MANDATORY TENT & BOOTH REQUIREMENTS
1) All vendor's tents must have four tent stakes, one tent stake (or spike) on each corner PLUS 30 pounds of weight on each corner as well. 
2) All tent legs must be 18 inches away from the edge of any sidewalk that is part of the festival.
3) All vendors must have a fire extinguisher.
4) No pets are permitted to be in the festival grounds.

 

Booth Fees:

A vendor may choose to pay a $50.00 setup fee + 20% of gross sales

10 ft x 10ft - $250.00
10ft x 20ft - $350.00
10 ft x 30ft - $550.00

III - Informational Vendor (non-profits & educational groups.  You MAY NOT sell products or GIVE away free items that duplicate what any craft vendor is selling.

The Vendor Agreement:

I, ________________________________________________, agree to be a vendor at Newland’s 2026 Christmas Tree Festival in the area assigned to me. Payment for half or more of the total booth fee chosen above are due to The Festival at the time the space is reserved.  No vendor gets their name included on our website or any other promotional opportunities until a deposit is received.  We may ask for photos during our vetting process.  The festival works hard to avoid duplication of products without the full knowledge and cooperation of the competitive vendors.

 

Furthermore,

I agree to pay any balances of booth fees by Oct 15, 2026 unless discussed and agrred to in writing, including email, with festival producers.  I am responsible for bringing my own extension cords that meet the electrical requirements marked on the application to this agreement.  Any cancellation after October 31, 2026 will result in 100% forfeiture of all fees..


I agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Festival and the town of Newland, NC and the staff and boards of these organizations against any claim or action of any cause.  Security for the area is provided by The Festival, however, neither the Town of Newland nor The Festival are liable for loss, theft, or damage.


The festival reserves the right to reject any vendors who misrepresent their work in photos or discussions.

Notification letters, emails or phone calls will be sent along with photos and undeposited checks from vendors who are not accepted to the festival.

I understand that The Festival has the right to refuse rental or booth space for any reason.

I understand that vendors who have exhibited at past fairs are not pre-juried for this one.

I understand it is my responsibility to provide my own tent, trailer, display items, and extension cords needed for my area.

I understand I am responsible for charging and paying state taxes.

I understand that I must abide by the following set up time constraints:


Set up: Friday November 20, 2026 from 1:00 am to 4:30 pm -
No vehicles are allowed on site 15 minutes prior to the festival beginning on Friday. 

Tear down: Saturday November 21 after 8pm or Sunday, November 22 by 12:00 noon.  Security will be at the site from 7:30pm Friday till 9:00am on Sunday.

I understand that it is my responsibility to return the area in and around my booth to the same or better condition as when I arrived.

Any violation of this agreement will allow for the immediate termination of this agreement and forfeiture of any and all fees.  The festival reserves the right to ask any vendor to leave the premises if this contract is violated by that vendor or if that vendor displays disruptive behavior.

All booth prices include one (1) 110 volt 20-amp electrical service.  There is a $50.00 Charge for 50-amp service or for 220 volts.
